Get Up Early And Do The Things You Love First
People who get up early are happier, healthier, and more productive. Take that time in the morning to do the most important things in your life, or things that you love. Work on that novel, finish that proposal, or study for that exam. Then visualize your idea day, plan it and go after it.
Pray Or Meditate Daily
If you believe in God, or nature, or nothing at all it does yourself good to take time to clear your mind and count all the things you are grateful for. Positive thoughts, gratitude, and mindfulness can help improve your mood, reduce stress, and provide you with better well-being.
Eat An Amazing Breakfast
This is the most important meal of the day. But most people skip it or eat a meal that is under-nourishing. Breakfast like a King, the best meal of the day, etc… Do yourself a favor and start off the day with a nutritious breakfast full of nutrients and power your day.
Move Daily But Remember To Take A Day Of Rest
We are made to move, yet more of us are sitting more and more each day. Sometimes the whole day. We need to move around, not just a little but at least 30 minutes of brisk walking or medium paced activity. So get up and move each day for at least 30 minutes. Take a day of total rest, from work, play, and life and just recharge.
Find A Loved One and Talk With Them, Hug Them
We are social creatures. We need love, touch, and to feel like we belong. So find someone and talk with them. Connect with them, other than by text or any other impersonal way. Better yet, go up and give them a big hug.
Laugh And Smile As Often As You Can
It has been shown that smiling and laughing does wonders for our mood. Yet sometimes we forget to NOT take ourselves so seriously. Smile at someone, most likely they will smile back. Who knows you may meet a new friend. And by all means have a good laugh every once in a while.
Drink Plenty of Clean Water
Don’t think water is important? We will not survive very long with out it. But most of us substitute good clean water for other things. Avoid sugary drinks, drink plenty of water. It is truly one of the best things you can do.
Eat Whole Foods
Make sure you are eating whole foods and your diet is full of delicious and nutritious clean foods. You will have more energy, less hungry, and be well nourished. A healthy diet will be one that will prevent possible diseases later on in life. So avoid processed, junk, and genetically modified foods.
Do Not Skip Meals For Junk Food
I am a big fan of eating 5-6 meals a day. Not because I believe that it will rev up your metabolism. But because I don’t like to get hungry during the day and then make a bad food choice. Skipping meals is not a good way to keep your body properly fueled and maximizing your metabolism. And replacing it with junk food will leave you even hungrier.
Go To Bed Early And Get 6-9 Hours Of Sleep
Sleep is when the body does its repair work, and you need plenty of it to remain in tip top shape. Don’t slack on your sleep. Also it would be wise to pay attention to your sleep rhythm and get to bed at a time that is best for you, and wake up early. Practice proper sleep hygiene and your body will thank you.
